Q. How do I get a journal article not available at Smith?

You can request a journal article not available at Smith by submitting an Interlibrary Loan request. This includes articles that are:

  • Held in the Five College Library Annex
  • Held in the Five College Library Repository
  • Held in the other Five College libraries
  • Not available in the Five Colleges

​Article requests are usually fulfilled within a few days. Once you are notified that the item is available, log on to the Smith College Interlibrary Loan Service and choose the "Download PDFs" option from your left side menu. Articles remain accessible for 30 days.
